I studied photography in college, SFSU graduating in 2000 with a B.A. in Fine Arts (photo/sculpture). Most of my photo history is with silver gelatin and film but due to technological changes, alas I am making the slow hard transition over to digital, reluctantly albeit surely. At the moment, I am only using a small point and shoot camera with no manual focus control and a limited zoom. My hopes are to soon get a new DSLR(raising funds!) and take some digital classes, so I can start shooting some serious photography the way I used to with film. Most of the concert photography below is shot with a Panasonic Lumix, from at least 30-60 feet away and in low light situations with no flash. Despite these limits, I think they still came out pretty damn good!
I LOVE taking photos of musicians in action and hope to incorporate that into my work along with classic portraits.
