The Sultry Gypsy Herb Co. products are now carried in the second Happy Herb Shop in San Francisco in the Castro district located at: 4079 18th St. SF, CA. 94114.  I will post the phone when I get it myself as Cindy just opened the store a few weeks ago~!  Go by and pay the cute little store a visit.  Just be aware that it is near some sex shops for those who might be bothered by that.  It is in a nice neighborhood with lots of shops, one block from Castro/Market St.  Cindy is GREAT at advising on herbal alternatives for quitting smoking, drinking or drugs as well as other issues.

~WORKING ON~ New Remedy~

Hello Folks! Right now I'm working on making a new remedy for the end of Spring. This will be, 'Allergy Support or Relief' I haven't decided what I'm going to call it but it will be for alleviating or lessening the symptoms of allergies by reducing histamine responses as well as reducing inflammation and calming irritated sinuses. I will let you know when it is ready for purchase. I may need some testers when I am finished to see how well it works! In exchange I would want you to document your responses and any reduction in symptoms you may have while using the new remedy.

New Year's Eve Greetings and End of Year Summary~

Wow what a year!  It's nearing the end of 2014 and the second full year since launching my herbal business (01/13).  I had two store accounts by October 2013 and by today, I am in 19 different store locations throughout the northern California area; From Ukiah to San Jose and Santa Cruz.

As I say in my 'About Me' section…I created this business for various reasons, one of them being that my health had suffered and was having a devastatingly negative affect on my entire life, esp. my ability to make a living.  Things were not looking good and I didn't know how I would pull out of it.  Honestly.  So I set out to recreate myself and in the process created The Sultry Gypsy Herb Co.  and my line of Alcohol-Free Herbal Formulas and Soothing Pain Salve :)
And to my relief and joy it is taking hold and growing wonderfully!  Even though I still have some health issues that bother me, I now have this fledgling business that is giving me a hopeful future and I enjoy what I do! It's been tough times for many of us but I think slowly we are coming out of it intact, moving in good directions from what I can see.
Thank YOU all for the support and faith in my company and what I make.

I'm proud but moreover some of my hope has been restored in these precarious times.  I am glad that my remedies help so many people.  I hope to continue to!

Working hard to make each year better and better is my goal.  I pine for time and space where I can write more often and delve into the arts again.
Health permitting, I also want to start dancing again!!
For the time being…I'm taking this time to rest over this truly cold Bay Area winter we finally have and plan for the coming year=more growth, more healing and more success!  And more arts!

~The POSTCARD~

~I wanted to take a minute to show off the beautiful postcard for The Sultry Gypsy Herb Co. and to give a shot out in appreciation to my friend, Dianna Van Eycke for working with me to help make such a beautiful work of art as a promotional tool!~

Dianna has been working in the graphic design and arts trades for @ 5 years in Santa Cruz and currently works at the Good Times Weekly of Santa Cruz as well for various magazines like Edible Monterey and doing freelance book covers.  She is very talented having learned her way up the industry the old-fashioned way, by learning under the tutelage of others with classes to supplement her work but really learning on the job.
She has a degree in photography from SFSU, where we met in 1997.
She was also a landscape gardener and worked in an art gallery in Carmel.

A poem to welcome Fall.

Greetings, I'm looking forward to Fall as it's starting to emerge.  The grace and calmness of Autumn really helps to settle the soul and unrest we may have from the excitement of summer.  It's a time to go inward and become a bit more grounded, take on healing in different way and work on projects that may be close to home that were pushed to the side while flitting about during the heat of summer months. Here is a poem I wrote awhile ago to welcome Fall.  Enjoy it. 

Hope your summers were fun and your health is strong.  Fall is a great time to start building up reserves again and cooling down from an excess heat which can keep us up late at night, minds buzzing like bees.  Time to build our immunities and inner strength for the coming seasons of introspection.

Beckon Me. 

As Fall may finally be peeking it's head out…I am ready for it and waiting.  

I need the softness it begets in me, the intimacy it summons. 

In the mean months of Summer, I swell with confusion, lost in my body's resistance to stay outward and flit about.  

From the dark underbelly of the earth, this change in season, grows upwards in a slow crawl of secrecy, seducing us in it's subtle arrival.  I lavish it's return. 

The sweet smell of plant life sticks in the air, flowing through me and leaving it's trace around my face.  

A smile grows, not unlike the smile of a wolf as it walks through a quiet forest. 

My soul feels welcomed at last…by something.  Home perhaps? 

Quieted by the silence this change creates as the earth grows calmer, I grow within. 

The tension in my sides relax, my heart beats in time with the wind and I feel aligned with the world.  Settled.  

Fall is coming, can you feel it? 

It's seeping in.
